Our easy to use guide will get you up and running in no time!
How to upload your mandate files onto Netcash using FileZilla
What is FTPS
FTPS (also known as FTP-ES, FTP-SSL and FTP Secure) is an extension to the commonly used File Transfer Protocol (FTP) that adds support for the Transport Layer Security (TLS) and the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) cryptographic protocols.
Â
FTPS should not be confused with the SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), an incompatible secure file transfer subsystem for the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol. It is also different from FTP over SSH, the practice of tunnelling FTP through an SSH connection.
How to transfer a mandate file:
To transfer a Mandate file with an FTPS Client you need to have the Netcash FTPS Service, which will consist of an IP address/Host Name, username and password. You can contact your Relationship Consultant to apply for these details.
Â
An FTPS Client is software designed to transfer files back and forth between two computers over the Internet. It needs to be installed on your computer and can only be used with a live connection to the Internet.
Â
With an FTPS Client in this case (FileZilla) uploading a file is really easy.
Â
FTPS clients’ interface is usually divided in two – the pane on the left shows the files and folders on your computer (your Desktop, My Documents, etc.) and the pane on the right display the files on the remote server.
Â
FileZilla is powerful and easy-to-use free FTP (file transfer protocol) utility. We recommend this program to all clients.
